TURF — Port Mercy and city-inspired districts A standalone, modified city strategy game derived in part from OpenFrontIO. This project is not the official OpenFront game and is not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenFront. © OpenFront and Contributors Portions Copyright (c) 2024 WarFront.io Team Portions Copyright (c) 2024–2026 OpenFront Inc. and Contributors Upstream: https://github.com/openfrontio/OpenFrontIO Inspected commit: 32e1d0b330bebf380f24a7d6e26dcc6c07712b1c GameMapImpl, FlatBinaryHeap and PseudoRandom are reused with the changes documented in src/sim/UPSTREAM.md. The continuous territorial frontier adapts OpenFront AttackExecution's actual four-neighbour priority queue and tick-budget algorithm. The original TURF city, procedural geometry/materials, interface, fictional market economy, cargo/supply rules and campaign logic were created for this derivative work. No OpenFront proprietary assets, accounts, hosted APIs or multiplayer infrastructure are used. Code is licensed under GNU AGPL v3.0 only, including upstream additional attribution terms. Version 8 uses designed, city-inspired districts for fresh Austin, Amsterdam, London and Chicago games alongside the original Port Mercy. These are fictional game maps, not accurate city replicas. Earlier OpenStreetMap map versions and data remain available for existing saves; see maps/CRAFTED-NOTICE.txt for the distinction. TURF supports street-led city conquest, building conversions, solo play and private rooms for 2–4 humans using the included original TURF server. Solo saves are browser-local; private rooms remain in the running server memory. Public release: https://coke.games/turf/ . Building heights missing from OSM are stylized. Gameplay sites, factions and building roles are fictional.
